Preferred Skills:
Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent field experience considered. Professional safety certification, such as CSP, ASP, or CHST (or actively pursuing). OSHA Train the Trainer certification. MSHA instructor certification. Experience coordinating safety during mill or industrial facility shutdowns. The Opportunity Our client is a rapidly growing, multi-division industrial services company headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, serving some of the most complex and high-hazard industrial environments in the region. With 450 employees, approximately $167 million in revenue, and a clear path toward $200 million and beyond, they have more than tripled in size since 2022 through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. They are seeking a Safety Supervisor to serve as the dedicated safety point of contact for their electrical operations, covering two specialized divisions: an industrial and commercial electrical contracting group and a control systems integration and power distribution testing team. Together, these divisions operate in high-voltage environments across the Pacific Northwest, including power generation facilities, industrial plants, and utility infrastructure. This is not a generalist safety role. Our client is looking specifically for someone with a background in high-voltage electrical environments (powerlines, dams, substations, or industrial power systems) who understands the unique hazards of arc-flash, instrument testing, and energized work. If you have built your career in the electrical safety space and want to bring that expertise to a growing, field-intensive organization with a genuine safety culture, this is the opportunity. What You'll Do Safety Leadership for Electrical Operations (Primary Focus) Serve as the primary safety point of contact for the company's two electrical divisions, providing on-site presence and hands-on support across project locations throughout the Pacific Northwest. Lead and deliver new hire safety orientation and onboarding training in coordination with the broader HSE team. Plan, facilitate, and attend monthly safety meetings for all assigned divisions. Conduct site audits at active job locations; document findings and communicate corrective actions to division managers and field leadership. Develop project-specific Health and Safety Plans (HASPs) for electrical and controls projects, including energized work, arc-flash, and high-voltage testing operations. Serve as the mill shutdown safety coordinator for assigned divisions — managing employee counts, night-shift safety meetings, equipment selection, and pre-job walks during scheduled industrial shutdowns. Incident Management & Compliance Lead incident investigations from initial response through root cause analysis and corrective action planning; produce written investigation reports. Conduct hospital visitations and support injured workers through the return-to-work process in coordination with the risk and claims function. Maintain working knowledge of OSHA, WISHA, MSHA, EPA, and applicable regulatory standards relevant to electrical and industrial work environments. Inspect work sites and associated equipment to ensure compliance with applicable standards and company safety programs. Cross-Divisional Collaboration Work closely with division managers and field supervisors to integrate safety requirements into daily project planning and execution. Collaborate with the enterprise-wide HSE team to maintain consistent safety standards and programs across all company divisions. Why This Role Is Different Our client has grown from $55 million in revenue in 2022 to $167 million today, with more acquisitions expected as they continue expanding across the Western United States. They are backed by an experienced, industrial-services-focused private equity partner that has supported that growth without changing the culture or replacing the leadership team that built it. What makes this company stand out is their genuine commitment to safety as a cultural value. Every employee has the authority to stop a job if something feels off, and that is taken seriously from the top down. Mental wellness, behavior-based coaching, and a visible HSE presence in the field are all part of the day-to-day, not checkboxes on a form. They are also a genuinely family-oriented organization and host barbecues, chili cookoffs, and company-wide holiday events. Seventy-five employees across the organization are personally invested in the business, and a profit-sharing program pays out up to $2,000 per year per qualifying employee, distributed up to 5 times per year when performance targets are met. The Culture Our client describes their core purpose as being "All About Solutions" for their employees, customers, and communities. Their values of trust, honesty, family, accountability, and safety are reflected in how the organization operates: a flat, team-first culture where no task is above or below any individual, and leadership expects everyone to pitch in. Safety leadership here means field presence, relationship-building with crews, and behavior-based coaching. Compensation & Benefits Base salary of $95,000•115,000 annually, with overtime eligibility that can meaningfully increase total earnings given the travel and field demands of the role, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage with low premiums; company-paid and voluntary life and AD&D insurance; AFLAC supplemental plans; FSA and dependent care savings accounts; telehealth through Teladoc; 401(k) with discretionary company match; Employee Assistance Program; paid trainings and certifications; paid time off and holidays; up to $2,000 per year in profit sharing paid up to five times per year when targets are met; and annual company events and safety incentives.
