The Director of Quality & HSE is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining a comprehensive Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management system across all sites within the organization's warehouse and transloading network. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and promotes a culture of operational excellence and accountability. The Director partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, HR, and Customer Service to ensure safe, compliant, and high-performing facilities that exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Duties . Develop and execute the organization's Quality and HSE strategy aligned with corporate goals and regulatory standards. . Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on compliance risk, operational improvements, and cultural initiatives. . Lead a multi-site team of Quality and HSE Managers/Coordinators to ensure alignment, accountability, and consistency across operations. . Represent the company with regulatory agencies, customers, and industry partners during audits, inspections, and certifications. . Own the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with ISO, Operation Clean Sweep (OCS), and customer-specific requirements. . Develop and maintain standardized processes for non-conformance management, CAPA, internal audits, and supplier/customer quality performance. . Partner with operations teams to improve packaging, transloading, and warehouse process controls, ensuring product integrity and traceability. . Oversee all corporate HSE programs and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and NFPA standards across all facilities. . Conduct and/or lead audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring timely corrective action implementation. . Develop Lean/Six Sigma initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving safety performance, and enhancing process reliability. Qualifications . Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Quality, HSE, or Operations within manufacturing, logistics, or transloading environments. . Proven experience managing multi-site programs and leading cross-functional teams. .
Certifications preferred:
Six Sigma, ISO Auditor, CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent . Strong knowledge of
OSHA, EPA, DOT, ISO
9001/14001, and other applicable standards. . Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills with a track record of implementing sustainable change.
