An Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for managing a coordinated and systematic approach to managing the environmental impact of an organization on the surrounding area. Will ensure that the organization has a systematic approach to complying with environmental regulations, such as managing waste or air emissions. Other responsibilities may include finding ways to reduce the organization's carbon footprint.
EHS Manager West Fraser seeks an EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs at our manufacturing facility. You will develop and implement EHS policies, conduct audits and risk assessments, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement aligned with our safety-first, sustainability-focused culture. The role includes leading incident investigations, training employees and contractors, coordinating with regulators, and tracking performance metrics. You'll collaborate with operations leaders to integrate safe work practices, support certifications, and promote a proactive safety culture while mentoring teams and supporting long-term career growth. Lead and manage site environmental, health, and safety programs and systems Develop, implement, and update EHS policies, procedures, and standards Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local EHS regulations Lead incident reporting, investigation, and root-cause analysis with corrective actions Plan and deliver EHS training for employees and contractors Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics and trends Coordinate with regulators, external auditors, and corporate EHS teams Support sustainability initiatives and environmental permitting requirements Promote a proactive, safety-first culture and mentor operations leaders and teams Environmental, health, and safety program management Regulatory compliance (OSHA and environmental regulations) Incident investigation and root-cause analysis Risk assessment and hazard identification EHS auditing and inspections EHS training development and delivery Data analysis and EHS metrics reporting
