Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and risk management across our organization. In addition to core safety responsibilities, this role will assist Project Managers with administrative and coordination support to help ensure projects run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working both in the field and in an office setting. This position plays a key role in fostering a strong safety culture while supporting project teams with documentation, communication, and compliance-related tasks. Primary Responsibilities - Safety Management Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices Conduct regular jobsite safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risk Investigate workplace incidents, perform root cause analysis , and track corrective actions Prepare and maintain detailed safety reports , incident logs, and compliance documentation for management Lead and coordinate safety training programs , including PPE usage, emergency response, and toolbox talks Manage workers' compensation claims and assist with return-to-work programs Collaborate with field supervisors, project managers, and leadership to promote a company-wide safety culture Stay current with OSHA, EPA, and industry safety regulations Secondary Responsibilities - Project Manager Assistant Support Assist Project Managers with project documentation , including safety plans, permits, and compliance records Help track and organize project schedules, submittals, and jobsite paperwork Support onboarding and compliance requirements for subcontractors and vendors Coordinate communication between field teams, project managers, and the safety department Attend project meetings as needed and assist with follow-up items related to safety and compliance Maintain organized project files and assist with reporting and closeout documentation Required Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety regulations Experience in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs Excellent report writing and documentation skills Experience developing and delivering safety training Knowledge of workers' compensation procedures Ability to conduct and document root cause analysis Familiarity with EPA regulations related to workplace safety Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments First Aid/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Construction or field experience preferred

$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
