$60,000- 75,000 annually, depending on experience Specialized Transportation Services is seeking an experienced Safety Manager
- Fleet Safety & Compliance to join our growing trucking operation.
DOT/FMCSA
requirements, and the ability to work directly with professional drivers and operational staff. Key Responsibilities of Safety Manager•Fleet Safety & Compliance ELD/HOS:
Manage ELD onboarding and driver training; monitor HOS compliance, review reporting, identify violations/trends, coach drivers, and coordinate corrective action.Camera/Telematics:
Manage driver onboarding and training; review safety events, coach drivers, and identify recurring behaviors or trends.Drug & Alcohol Compliance:
Manage DOT drug/alcohol testing requirements, Clearinghouse compliance, random testing, and required documentation.Driver Qualification Files:
Monitor DQF compliance, including CDL, medical cards, MVRs, annual reviews, and required regulatory documentation.Driver Safety:
Conduct driver orientation, road tests, safety coaching, and corrective action.Training:
Develop and implement driver, shop, and office safety training identified by Management.Safety Reporting:
Monitor safety performance, prepare reports, identify trends, and recommend improvements. Qualifications 2-5 years of safety/compliance experience in trucking, transportation, or fleet operations Working knowledge ofFMCSA/DOT
regulations Experience with ELD/HOS compliance Experience with DQFs and DOT drug & alcohol compliance Experience conducting driver training, orientation and/or road testing Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to work independently and interact effectively with professional drivers and operations personnel Experience with driver-facing cameras/telematics is strongly preferred Compensation & Benefits for Safety Manager- Fleet Safety & Compliance Competitive pay up to $75,000 based on experience Complete medical benefits package Paid holidays, vacation, and sick time 401(k) with company match This is an opportunity to join a growing transportation company in a key safety leadership role with the ability to make a direct impact on driver safety, compliance, and company performance.
