The Safety Manager is responsible for implementing and enforcing site-specific safety programs, conducting daily inspections and hazard assessments, leading toolbox talks and safety orientations, and ensuring full compliance with OSHA and MIOSHA standards. This role works directly with project managers, superintendents, and trade crews to identify risks before they become incidents, investigate and document any incidents that occur, and build a safety culture that keeps every worker going home the same way they came in. This is a 1099 converted to a W-2 position with Shield Safety Services, placed on client projects. OSHA/MIOSHA

regulations and site-specific safety plans Investigate incidents and near misses, complete reports, and drive corrective actions Maintain safety documentation, logs, and training records Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors on high-risk work (fall protection, excavation, confined space, lifting and rigging, hot work) Qualifications 3+ years of construction safety experience (commercial or industrial preferred) OSHA 30-Hour Construction already obtained preferred (Can be trained); OSHA 500/510, CHST, or ASP a plus Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 and MIOSHA construction standards First Aid/CPR/AED certified or willing to certify Strong communication skills and the confidence to stop unsafe work Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation:

60,000-120,000 | Housing and food expense
