Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our organization. This pivotal role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and promote a safe, healthy workplace environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in occupational health and safety standards, and a proactive approach to risk management. Your efforts will directly contribute to fostering a culture of safety, reducing incidents, and ensuring regulatory adherence across all operations. Duties Develop, implement, and oversee EHS policies aligned with local, state, and federal regulations such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards within manufacturing or operational facilities. Lead incident investigations by performing root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and recommend corrective actions. Coordinate and deliver training programs on topics including first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), OSHA compliance, environmental protocols, and workers' compensation law. Maintain accurate documentation of safety incidents, inspection reports, training records, and compliance reports. Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials in accordance with EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations. Manage workers' compensation claims process by collaborating with insurance providers and legal teams to ensure timely resolution. Promote occupational health initiatives aimed at improving employee well-being and reducing workplace injuries. Stay current with evolving EHS regulations and industry best practices to continuously enhance safety programs. Requirements Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial environments with a strong understanding of occupational health and safety standards. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA environmental policies, workers' compensation law, and report writing procedures. Certification in first aid and CPR from recognized organizations. Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective measures. Excellent communication skills for delivering training sessions and preparing comprehensive reports. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining compliance documentation. Ability to lead safety initiatives proactively while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred.
