Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Safety Supervisor who can help us build a stronger safety culture in our manufacturing facility. This role is not only about OSHA paperwork. We need someone who is comfortable on the shop floor, curious about how work is actually done, and able to partner with supervisors, machinists, welders, and maintenance to identify hazards before they become injuries. What You'll Do Spend significant time on the manufacturing floor observing work, asking questions, and identifying hazards. Work with supervisors and employees to improve safety practices without creating unnecessary friction. Review CNC machines, welding areas, fabrication equipment, forklifts, lifting equipment, tools, and work areas for safety risks. Identify hidden hazards, shortcuts, unsafe habits, and process gaps. Lead practical safety meetings and toolbox talks based on real shop risks and lessons learned. Investigate incidents and near misses with a focus on root cause, learning, and prevention. Help create machine-specific safety guidance, checklists, and visual reminders. Coach employees and supervisors on hazard recognition and safe work practices. Follow up on corrective actions and make sure safety improvements are completed. Support OSHA compliance, safety records, training documentation, and inspections. What We're Looking For Experience in manufacturing, machining, welding, fabrication, maintenance, or industrial safety. Strong understanding of real shop-floor hazards, especially around machinery and equipment. Natural leadership and the confidence to speak up when something is unsafe. Flexible communication style — able to challenge people respectfully. Curious, observant, and willing to learn from experienced employees. Problem-solver. Comfortable teaching, coaching, and leading short practical safety discussions. Hands-on attitude — not someone who only wants to talk about safety from an office. Preferred Experience with CNC machines, welding equipment, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, forklifts, cranes, rigging, and industrial tools. OSHA 30 or safety-related training preferred. Experience leading safety meetings, audits, incident investigations, or improvement projects. This role is a good fit for someone who believes safety is built through trust, observation, practical problem-solving, and follow-up. We need someone who can work with people, understand the work, and help make the safe way the normal way.
