Full-time, on-site If you want to inherit a perfect facility, maintain a few dashboards and remind people to complete their annual training, this probably isn't your role. But if you became an EHS professional to protect people, influence how plants operate and leave workplaces genuinely safer than you found them, it could be exactly what you're looking for. A major global food and ingredients manufacturer is appointing an EHS Manager to lead safety and environmental performance at an important Carrollton manufacturing operation. The site has ageing infrastructure, legacy challenges and areas requiring meaningful improvement. It also has a strengthened leadership team that understands change is necessary and wants an EHS leader capable of making it happen. The Opportunity This is not a compliance-only position. You will be expected to understand the risks, establish the right priorities and work alongside production, engineering and maintenance until practical improvements are properly implemented. You won't simply identify problems and hand them back to operations. You will lead the site EHS function, build and develop a team of two specialists and help create an environment where safety is owned throughout the plant—not left with one department. It won't be the easiest EHS role in Texas, but that is also its attraction. You will have the autonomy to shape the function rather than inherit someone else's finished system. Success will be visible through stronger standards, completed improvements, better engagement and a workforce that sees EHS as part of how the plant operates. Deliver that, and you will leave with more than another management role on your résumé. Key Responsibilities Lead environmental, health and safety activity across the site Recruit, coach and develop two EHS Specialists Build a proactive, employee-owned safety culture Establish the most significant risks and create realistic improvement priorities Strengthen OSHA compliance, recordkeeping and regulatory reporting Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective actions Improve machine safety, lockout/tagout and safe working practices Strengthen contractor-safety and Management of Change processes Partner with engineering and maintenance on equipment and infrastructure risks Review capital projects and installations for EHS compliance Maintain and develop environmental systems, including

ISO 14001

Oversee waste-management and environmental-improvement programmes Develop relevant training, emergency-response and safety-committee activity Track leading and lagging indicators and ensure actions reach verified completion Coach plant leaders to take ownership of safety within their functions Maintain a visible presence across the manufacturing floor What We're Looking For EHS experience at leadership level within food manufacturing or a related industrial environment Bachelor's degree in EHS or a related field, or equivalent progressive experience Demonstrable success improving plant safety culture and performance Strong understanding of OSHA requirements and recordkeeping Practical experience with incident investigation and root-cause analysis Knowledge of machine safety, LOTO and operational risk controls Experience implementing and maintaining plant-wide EHS programmes Ability to influence production, maintenance, engineering and senior leadership Confidence challenging unsafe decisions constructively Strong communication, training and organisational skills Legal authorisation to work in the United States Particularly Valuable Experience Food, ingredients, flavours, chemicals, pharmaceuticals or regulated batch manufacturing Powder processing or combustible-dust environments Process Safety Management Management of Change
