About this role:
The Senior Manager of EH&S leads and continuously advances the Environment, Health & Safety strategy for a Carrier manufacturing facility. This role leads, strengthens, and continuously improves the EHS management system, drives a zero-incident culture, and ensures full regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:
Leads execution and continuous improvement of the EH&S strategy and management systems (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001) for the site. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA). Leads risk protection programs, behavior-based safety, and safety culture. Manages environmental permits, air/water permits, and relationships with regulatory agencies. Leads and develops the EH&S team. Directs incident investigations, OSHA recordkeeping, root-cause analysis, and corrective action plans. Owns EHS metrics, audits, and management reviews.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree 8+ years of industrial Environmental, Health & Safety experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental, Industrial or Chemical Engineering or related field. Experience in complex, fast-paced manufacturing environments. Certifications such as CSP, CIH orISO 14001 / ISO 45001
lead auditor. Experience driving cultural change and behavior-based safety. Expert knowledge of US federal, state, and local EH&S regulations (OSHA, EPA) and recordkeeping/reporting requirements. Demonstrated experience leading, implementing, and continuously improving EHS management systems (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001) and driving behavior-based safety. Experience managing environmental permitting (air/water/waste) and regulatory-agency relationships. Proven ability to lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action programs. Professional certifications such as CSP or CIH are strongly preferred. Pay Range The annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
