Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanics with a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction. The ideal candidates will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial buildings, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate, assemble, install, and secure sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial construction projects. Measure, cut, and bend sheet metal to precise specifications based on blueprints and job requirements. Work with various duct materials, including galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Ensure proper sealing, insulation, and support of duct systems to meet industry and safety standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements. Operate hand and power tools, including shears, brakes, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools. Lead and supervise a small crew of installers, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to quality standards. Collaborate with other trades to ensure smooth and efficient project completion. Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with local building codes and HVAC regulations. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to OSHA safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC sheet metal duct installation in commercial construction. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork installation techniques, and sheet metal fabrication. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications. Experience working with various hand and power tools used in sheet metal fabrication. Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions. Valid driver's license. Ability to pass background check.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with local HVAC codes and regulations. Experience with welding and soldering sheet metal components. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. (Pay is based on experience) Apply Now to get in contact with a recruiter!

$29.00 - $34.00 per hour
