Our mission is to help trucking companies stay compliant, organized, and efficient while ensuring driver safety and regulatory success. We're looking for a dedicated Trucking Safety Assistant Manager to help us build strong operational foundations and support the company's long-term growth. Position Overview The Trucking Safety Assistant Manager will support the setup and organization of our new location and assist with day-to-day safety, compliance, and administrative functions. This person will help establish procedures, manage driver evaluations, maintain compliance documentation, and ensure clients' operations meet DOT and state requirements. This role is ideal for someone with trucking safety, compliance, or administrative experience who is eager to grow with a developing company. Key Responsibilities Assist in setting up and organizing the new business location, filing systems, and operating procedures. Support the development and implementation of safety and compliance policies. Administer and evaluate driver tests, including: English proficiency exams Safety and traffic knowledge exams Drug and alcohol testing coordination Review and compile driver evaluation results for client trucking companies. Prepare and maintain detailed driver qualification files. Conduct mock USDOT audits to ensure clients are prepared for compliance inspections. Assist with IFTA state permit applications, e-log monitoring, and equipment file maintenance. Manage documentation for truck and trailer registrations, apportioned and plate renewals. Support accident reporting and insurance claim procedures. Assist clients with LLC registration, EIN setup, DOT/MC/UCR filings, and related compliance tasks. Collaborate with management to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe operations. Qualifications Previous experience in trucking safety, DOT compliance, or fleet management is preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Familiarity with FMCSA and USDOT regulations. Excellent communication and written English skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Ability to work independently and take initiative in a startup environment. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
