PUBLIC SAFETY COMMUNICATN MGR
The purpose of this position is to plan and direct the operations of the multi-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary Public Safety Communications Center. The Center is responsible for providing 9-1-1 and emergency communications service to North Richland Hills, Haltom City, Richland Hills and Watauga with a combined population of over 137,000 residents. This position works with considerable independence under the direction of the Technical Services Captain. The individual must demonstrate a strong leadership presence, technical knowledge and knowledge of the budgeting process. This position does provide direction to employees. Full time employees earn three weeks of vacation during their first year of employment and 10 hours of sick leave a month. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree or equivalent. 5 years' experience as a public safety dispatcher with a minimum of two years at the supervisor level. Valid Texas Class C Driver's License. Texas Department of Public Safety's Terminal Agency Coordinator Certification, 16 Hour
TCIC/NCIC
Certification, 24
Hour TLETS Basic Certification, Institute of Law Enforcement Administration:
School of Police Supervision or advanced supervisory training, and TCOLE Intermediate Telecommunicator License. Must be able to pass a standard background check, as well as a background check through the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) and a drug screen.
