Full Job Description Job Summary:
We're looking for a hands-on HSE leader who can own compliance and elevate safety performance across multiple locations—ensuring consistency, audit readiness, and a strong safety culture at every site. This is a high-visibility role partnering directly with the VP of HSE to shape how safety is executed and enforced across the organization. This position will lead multi-site HSE compliance strategy across all Company locations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety Compliance & Auditing Own and oversee safety audit programs and drive corrective actions to closure Conduct quarterly safety audits and inspections across assigned Company locations. Identify gaps, track corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance. Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations. 2. Incident Management & Investigation Lead or support incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action development. Document findings and ensure timely closure of safety incidents. Support company-wide efforts to reduce incidents and improve safety outcomes. 3. Safety Culture & Leadership Partner with leadership to build and maintain a proactive, accountable safety culture Partner with the VP of HSE to promote and reinforce a strong safety culture. Act as the HSE leader and primary point of contact for safety and environmental matters in assigned regions. Provide input to the Company Safety Council and contribute to strategic safety initiatives. 4. Policy, Training & Program Development Assist in developing, updating, and implementing safety policies and procedures so every location operates under one consistent framework. Support and/or deliver safety and environmental training programs at Company locations. Ensure training is consistent, effective, and aligned with regulatory and company standards. 5. Compliance Systems & Reporting Oversight Familiarity with and ability to work in compliance systems (Intelex, ISNetworld, Veriforce, Avetta, etc.) and ensure data integrity and audit readiness Provide insightful safety metrics and reporting to senior leadership 6. Data Management & Performance Reporting Maintain and improve safety data tracking systems and reporting processes (Intelex). Assist with proactive safety reporting and communicate key metrics to leadership. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability for decision-making. 7. Team Support & Collaboration Provide guidance as necessary to the HSE Compliance Administrator. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and alignment with operational needs. Effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization. Other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Proven experience managing HSE across multiple sites or regions Strong command of regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA) Ability to lead through influence, not just authority Experience building or improving company-wide safety programs Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment Candidates Who Stand Out ✔ True multi-site leadership responsibility ✔ Direct partnership with executive HSE leadership ✔ Opportunity to define and lead appropriate enforcement of compliance standards by working with Sr. leaders across the organization ✔ Significant impact on culture, performance, and risk reduction Qualifications Education & Experience Associate's degree in Safety Management or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in HSE, safety compliance, or related industry role. 2+ years of experience implementing and managing compliance, health, and safety programs. Experience with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory frameworks. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to lead investigations and drive corrective actions. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and documentation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams. Comfortable working in high-stress environments and responding to emergencies. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage all levels of the organization. Additional Requirements Must be able to travel to Company locations. (25-50%) Valid driver's license and clean driving record (per company policy). Ability to pass background check and drug/alcohol screening. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for extended periods as needed. Work Environment This position requires on-call availability to respond to safety emergencies outside of normal business hours.
