Summary:
The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining workplace safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This position oversees safety policies and procedures, conducts workplace inspections, provides employee safety training, investigates incidents, and ensures compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Essential Duties:
Develop and implement company-wide safety policies and procedures. Monitor and maintain compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations. Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and risk assessments. Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents. Maintain safety records, reports, and required documentation. Conduct safety orientations and ongoing employee training. Coordinate emergency response and workplace safety procedures. Work with management and employees to promote a strong safety culture. Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with workers' compensation and injury-related processes. Track safety metrics and prepare reports for management. Stay current with changes to OSHA regulations and industry safety standards. Partner with operations and production teams to identify and reduce workplace hazards.
