Health & Safety Manager Salt Lake City, Utah We're a growing electrical contractor based in Salt Lake City, known for quality, reliability, and long-term relationships. Since 2002, we've built a strong presence across the Western U.S. in healthcare, energy, higher education, large commercial, and high-end residential projects. We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and strengthen our company-wide safety program while supporting our field teams and project managers in maintaining safe, efficient jobsites. What You'll Do Develop, implement, and maintain the company's health and safety program Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits across multiple projects Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training for field personnel Coach project managers and supervisors in safety leadership and accountability Support teams in identifying and managing high-risk work and serious injury/fatality (SIF) risks Oversee equipment scheduling, inspections, and maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation Take ownership of company equipment and fleet safety programs, including compliance, tracking, and preventative maintenance Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local safety regulations Maintain safety documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance Work closely with project managers and field supervisors to proactively manage jobsite risks Build strong engagement with field crews through regular safety conversations and learning reviews Promote psychological safety, mental health awareness, and overall worker wellbeing Encourage open reporting, learning from near misses, and continuous improvement of safety practices Promote and reinforce a strong, proactive safety culture throughout the organization What We're Looking For 5+ years of construction safety experience (electrical or commercial construction preferred) Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices OSHA 30 certification required (OSHA 500, CHST, or similar certifications preferred) Experience leading safety programs and influencing field leadership Experience managing equipment or fleet safety programs is a plus Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage safety across multiple active jobsites Experience working directly with field crews, project managers, and general contractors Benefits Simple IRA + company match Health & dental insurance Paid time off + holidays Flexible hours Company vehicle Great team culture E04JI800bats4094vzn
