The Anderson Company, LLC, a site development company for over 29 years is seeking a Site Safety Manager to inspect and monitor various construction sites in Virginia. This position will require the selected individual to be present on one site at a time but it may change during the course of employment. The Safety Professional is responsible for the implementation and administration of the corporate safety program at the job-site/area.

Starting Salary:

$70,000-$80,000 per year This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate with a safety-related degree or an early-career safety professional with construction safety experience . The selected candidate will primarily be assigned to one major construction project in either Prince William County or Loudoun County, Virginia , likely supporting large-scale data center site development work. What You'll Be Doing This is a hands-on, field-based position. You will work closely with our Safety Director, Safety Managers, project management team, and field supervisors to support the daily safety activities on the jobsite. A major part of your day will include completing and reviewing the safety paperwork necessary to safely start and manage daily work activities, including:

• Reviewing and assisting with daily Pre-Task Plans (PTPs)
• Reviewing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
• Conducting morning safety and pre-work activities
• Performing daily jobsite safety inspections
• Identifying hazards and working with supervisors to address unsafe conditions
• Monitoring employee compliance with company and project safety requirements
• Assisting with employee safety orientations and training
• Maintaining daily safety documentation and records
• Assisting with incident and near-miss investigations
• Communicating safety concerns professionally with employees and supervisors You will also gain hands-on experience monitoring a variety of major site development activities, including:
• Excavation and trenching
• Underground utility installation
• Heavy equipment operations
• Trucking and material hauling
• Traffic control
• Concrete and retaining wall work
• Paving
• General site development and construction activities What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is serious about developing a career in construction safety . You should meet one of the following qualifications:
• Have previous experience in a construction safety or field safety role; or
• Be a recent college graduate with a degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Management, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or a related field

Required:

• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to complete daily safety documentation accurately
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Willingness to spend the majority of the workday in an active construction environment
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Construction Safety Experience Preferred Previous construction safety experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate .
