We are looking for an experienced Trucking Office Safety Manager who understands the trucking industry, knows DOT regulations, and understands how trucks and trailers operate.

PLEASE NOTE

This is an office position. We are not looking for a driver. This is a hands-on position with a lot of responsibility. The right person should have strong knowledge of

DOT/FMCSA

regulations, commercial vehicles, driver safety, and compliance. The right person will also be a self-starter and require minimal supervision.

Responsibilities may include:

Monitoring and managing our CSA scores Managing DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements Conducting and documenting accident investigations Maintaining required safety and compliance records and paperwork Conducting driver road tests when needed Addressing driver safety issues, including discipline and written warnings Reviewing driver compliance and safety performance Developing or updating company safety policies and procedures as needed Ensuring drivers and equipment remain in compliance with applicable DOT requirements Staying current on changing

DOT/FMCSA

regulations and safety requirements Working with drivers and management to identify and correct safety concerns Communication with our insurance company and managing insurance requirements

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of

DOT/FMCSA

regulations Knowledge of trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicle equipment Experience in trucking safety, compliance, or fleet operations Ability to understand and apply safety regulations in real-world situations Strong organizational and communication skills CDL preferred, especially for candidates who can confidently evaluate drivers and understand commercial equipment firsthand A CDL and real-world trucking experience are a major plus. We value someone who doesn't just understand the regulations on paper, but also understands how the equipment works, how drivers operate, and what it takes to run a safe and compliant trucking operation.
