This position ensures that safety procedures, documentation, training, and workplace practices are consistently maintained and that employees are working in compliance with company safety requirements. The Safety Supervisor serves as a key resource for Safety Monitors and field employees, identifying potential hazards, addressing safety violations, and promoting a strong culture of safety throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities Oversee safety activities across multiple jobs and job sites. Manage, support, and provide direction to Safety Monitors assigned to various projects. Conduct weekly safety meetings and communicate current safety concerns, procedures, and expectations. Ensure Safety Monitors are completing required safety paperwork accurately, thoroughly, and on time. Review safety documentation regularly to ensure records are complete and up to date. Monitor employees and job-site activities for safety violations, unsafe practices, and potential hazards. Address safety concerns and violations promptly and work with supervisors and employees to correct unsafe conditions. Train and coach Safety Monitors on effective job-site monitoring techniques. Provide Safety Monitors with guidance on what hazards and behaviors to watch for and how to identify potential safety issues. Evaluate the effectiveness of Safety Monitors and provide ongoing feedback and training to improve their performance. Promote consistent application of company safety policies and procedures across all job sites. Communicate safety concerns and trends to appropriate management personnel. Assist in developing and maintaining a proactive safety culture focused on hazard identification, prevention, and employee accountability. Perform regular job-site safety observations and follow up on identified issues to ensure corrective actions are completed. Stay informed of applicable safety requirements, company policies, and industry best practices. Qualifications Previous experience in construction, industrial, field operations, or a related safety position preferred. Experience supervising or leading employees is preferred. Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and hazard identification. Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and behaviors and take appropriate corrective action. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to train, coach, and provide constructive feedback to Safety Monitors and employees. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through. Ability to manage multiple job sites and priorities. Ability to maintain accurate safety records and documentation. Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with management and field personnel.
