This role conducts audits, inspections, investigations, and training programs to identify risks, promote safe work practices, and maintain compliance with company policies and government regulations. The Safety Compliance Officer serves as a key resource for employees and leadership in fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance Monitor compliance with L&I, OSHA, SPCAA, Washington Department of Ecology, EPA, DOT, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain accurate safety records, reports, permits, and compliance documentation. Assist with regulatory inspections and respond to compliance inquiries. Stay current on regulatory changes and communicate requirements to management and employees. Safety Inspections and Audits Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and compliance audits. Identify hazards, unsafe behaviors, and non-compliance issues. Develop and track corrective action plans to address findings. Verify completion and effectiveness of corrective actions. Incident Investigation Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, property damage, and near-miss events. Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive measures. Prepare detailed investigation reports and maintain documentation. Monitor trends and recommend improvements to reduce incident frequency. Training and Employee Engagement Facilitate safety orientation and compliance training for employees and contractors. Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness programs. Maintain employee training records and certifications. Promote employee participation in safety initiatives and reporting programs. Documentation and Reporting Maintain safety manuals, policies, procedures, and compliance records. Prepare reports on safety performance metrics and audit findings. Track compliance deadlines, permits, certifications, and required inspections. Support management with regulatory reporting requirements. Program Administration Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs and procedures. Support emergency preparedness and response planning. Participate in safety committee meetings and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2-5 years of safety, compliance, or regulatory experience. Knowledge of L&I and OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards. Experience conducting workplace inspections, audits, and investigations. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications OSHA 30-Hour Certification. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification. First Aid/CPR certification. Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, or industrial operations. Knowledge of

ISO 45001

safety management systems. Physical Requirements Ability to walk manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or field environments for extended periods. Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access operational work areas. May require lifting up to 25 pounds. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Occasional travel between facilities or job sites may be required.
