Operations & Safety Supervisor Premier Logistics LLC - Green Bay, WI Full-Time | Salaried Position About the Role Premier Logistics is seeking a motivated, hands-on Operations & Safety Supervisor who is ready to roll up their sleeves and help lead our growing operation. The primary responsibility of this position is running daily dispatch and operations , including coordinating drivers, servicing customers, planning routes, solving problems, and keeping our trucks moving efficiently. This position will also take ownership of our day-to-day safety program , with an emphasis on driver safety, compliance, coaching, documentation, and accountability. We are looking for a proactive, team-first leader who works with urgency, takes ownership, communicates well, and wants to grow with the company. Key Responsibilities Dispatch and manage drivers throughout the day. Coordinate pickups, deliveries, routes, and equipment. Communicate proactively with customers regarding pickups, deliveries, ETAs, delays, and other shipment updates. Respond promptly to driver and customer needs. Plan and optimize routes to maximize truck utilization and reduce unnecessary miles. Prepare and organize routes for the following day. Monitor driver availability, schedules, hours of service, and equipment availability. Lead and support drivers while holding them accountable for performance, communication, safety, and company expectations. Conduct driver ride-alongs, coaching, and ongoing training as needed. Monitor Samsara safety events, driver behavior, HOS, DVIRs, and safety-related reporting. Address driver safety concerns and document corrective actions when necessary. Assist with accident and incident investigations. Help maintain DOT compliance, driver documentation, and safety records. Support CSA monitoring, violations, DataQs, Clearinghouse requirements, and other safety-related responsibilities. Help lead safety meetings and reinforce a strong safety culture. Assist with equipment readiness, truck checklists, and other operational needs when necessary. Take ownership of issues and follow them through to resolution. Schedule & Availability Our operating hours are at least 5:30 AM - 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday . Sometimes earlier or later. This position works a rotating AM and PM shift to provide leadership coverage throughout the day. The role also includes shared after-hours and weekend coverage every other week for driver, customer, and operational needs. What We Are Looking For Experience in transportation, trucking, logistics, dispatch, fleet operations, or a similar environment. Strong communication skills with drivers, customers, and coworkers. A hands-on, go-getter attitude. Ability to make decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Strong organization and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time. Comfortable coaching employees and holding drivers accountable. Safety-minded with an interest in taking ownership of compliance responsibilities. Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, transportation systems, and other technology. A mindset of ownership, urgency, accountability, and continuous improvement. Previous supervisory, dispatch, DOT compliance, transportation safety, or fleet management experience is preferred. Compensation & Benefits Starting salary: $65,000 annually , with consideration based on experience.
