Construction / Industrial Development Position Overview We are seeking a highly qualified Safety Manager for a 6-month intensive construction project in Sparks, Nevada. The ideal candidate will be a field-oriented leader responsible for overseeing all on-site safety protocols, ensuring strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Given the project's scale and complexity, we require a professional who not only understands the rules but has the pedagogical skill to train and mentor site personnel.

Key Responsibilities Site Oversight:

Conduct daily safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all project activities adhere to OSHA standards and the specific safety requirements of the Sparks/Reno jurisdiction.

Training & Instruction:

Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and specialized training sessions for subcontractors and internal staff.

Incident Management:

Lead accident investigations, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective action plans.

Documentation:

Maintain all safety-related logs, including

OSHA 300

logs, equipment inspection records, and daily safety reports.

Liaison:

Act as the primary point of contact for any regulatory agency site visits (OSHA, EPA, etc.). Required Qualifications OSHA 30

Construction:

Comprehensive knowledge of 29 CFR 1926.

OSHA 500

Certification:

Authorized to teach 10- and 30-hour construction safety and health outreach programs (Mandatory).

Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of safety management experience specifically within the construction or industrial sectors.

Local Knowledge:

Familiarity with Nevada OSHA (NVOSHA) regulations and Sparks, NV site conditions.

Technical Proficiency:

Ability to use digital reporting tools and safety management software. Preferred Skills Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills. First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification. Experience with large-scale warehouse or manufacturing facility builds. Working Conditions This is a field-based position requiring the ability to navigate active construction sites, including climbing ladders and walking on uneven terrain.

Pay:
