Quality & Risk Director | Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital Leadership | Quality, Risk & Patient Safety | $100K-$125K + Quarterly Bonuses Clinical Magnet, a division of ICON Medical Network, is looking for an experienced Quality & Risk Director to join a 98-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Morgantown, WV. This is a full-time, onsite leadership opportunity for a healthcare quality professional who has a strong background in quality improvement, risk management, patient safety, regulatory compliance, accreditation surveys, patient experience, and performance improvement. Develop, implement, and monitor performance improvement initiatives designed to improve patient outcomes and quality of care. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, accreditation standards, corporate requirements, and hospital policies. Lead preparation for and coordination of State, Joint Commission, and/or CARF surveys. Develop survey responses, corrective action plans, and follow-up processes to address identified deficiencies. Monitor regulatory and accreditation requirements and educate hospital staff and leadership regarding compliance. Oversee risk management activities, including incident reporting, potential claims, corrective action planning, and risk mitigation. Manage patient complaints, grievances, and resolution processes while ensuring appropriate follow-up and documentation. Monitor patient experience and satisfaction data, including platforms such as Press Ganey and NRC, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Partner with clinical and operational leaders to investigate concerns, resolve conflicts, and implement sustainable improvements. Coordinate the development, review, and implementation of hospital policies and procedures. Maintain and oversee hospital quality and patient safety plans. Analyze quality data and identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for performance improvement. Lead and participate in interdisciplinary quality and performance improvement initiatives. Provide leadership, coaching, and support to the Quality team. Work directly with staff, patients, physicians, and hospital leadership to promote a culture of quality, safety, and accountability. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing, health administration, or a related field preferred. Clinical licensure is highly preferred but not required. Demonstrated experience in Quality, Risk Management, Patient Safety, or Performance Improvement. Experience with primary responsibility for hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives. Experience leading or coordinating State, Joint Commission, and/or CARF accreditation surveys. Experience developing survey responses, corrective action plans, and remediation strategies. Experience with patient experience/patient satisfaction programs, including Press Ganey, NRC, or similar platforms. Experience managing patient complaints and formal grievance processes. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and healthcare risk management. Proven leadership experience managing teams and working directly with facility-based staff and leadership. Experience in an inpatient healthcare setting strongly preferred. Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies preferred. Candidates should demonstrate stability in previous leadership positions, with 2+ years in leadership roles preferred. Strong communication, conflict resolution, analytical, and organizational skills.
