Experienced Industrial Hygienist, Certified Industrial Hygienist - Anchorage Alaska NORTECH is an Environmental Engineering and Health & Safety consultancy firm with professional growth opportunities, retirement benefits, and a bonus incentive program. Our firm operates out of Fairbanks, Anchorage, and Juneau with a team of approximately 25 professionals statewide. We are a close-knit, highly collaborative group supporting environmental progress across Alaska. Our work takes us to remote communities, urban redevelopment sites, mines, industrial facilities, military installations, and everything in between. We are seeking a self-starting and motivated professional with a progressively responsible consulting background in the Alaska market. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and distance communication skills and be ready to support industrial hygiene and/or engineering consulting projects across Alaska with our professional staff statewide. Compensation will be based on experience and professional registration(s).

Required Qualifications Industrial Hygiene :

B.S. or M.S. in Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Occupational & Environmental Health or related discipline. Registration as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or eligible to sit for those examinations . Hazard recognition, assessment and control in small business, construction, mining, oil, and general industry desired. Expertise in one or more of the following technical skill areas: hazard analysis, exposure monitoring, development of hazard control and safety and health plans, OSHA compliance audits, indoor and/or outdoor air quality, noise evaluations/control, ergonomics, or hazardous building materials assessment and abatement. 5+ years of progressively responsible technical and project management consulting experience , preferably in Alaska. Proficiency with MS Office in a Windows environment is required for effective collaboration.

Additional Requirements :

State of Alaska driver's license ADEC qualified sampler and

HAZWOPER

Specialty certifications such as hazardous material manager, AHERA certifications, EPA/HUD lead-based paint certifications, preferred.

Key Responsibilities Include :
