Job Description
Position Summary The Safety Specialist is responsible for promoting a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, monitoring, and enforcing workplace health and safety programs. This role focuses on accident prevention, regulatory compliance, employee training, and continuous improvement of safety practices across the facility. Supervisory Responsibility None Essential Duties and Responsibilities Implement and maintain workplace health and safety programs, policies, and procedures. Evaluate safety practices and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards. Conduct safety training, including accident prevention and health awareness programs for employees. Perform routine inspections of equipment and work areas to identify unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are taken. Monitor employee compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Assist in the investigation of workplace accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures. Support the administration and documentation of Workers' Compensation claims. Recommend improvements, corrective actions, and preventive measures to enhance workplace safety. Required Skills and Abilities Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and ADEM standards. Knowledge of ISO 14001 and
