The ideal candidate will have experience creating, implementing, and monitoring safety programs and training, while continuously evaluating contract activities for improvement opportunities. Responsibilities Provide technical guidance and compliance objectives to managers, supervisors, and staff. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety legislation. Develop policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance. Interface with regulatory agencies, corporate HSE, and the Project Manager. Design and deliver safety training for all project employees. Develop and implement accident investigation and recurrence prevention programs. Conduct on-site safety audits and program reviews. Manage Worker's Compensation and Federal DOT compliance programs. Ensure all policies and procedures are compliant with the El Centro Site-Specific Safety Plan. Chair quarterly safety meetings and lead the Employee Safety Council. Maintain thorough understanding of contract requirements and ensure timely compliance. Anticipate future trends in safety equipment and compliance needs. Qualifications Must be able to pass a background check. HS diploma required. Bachelors degree in occupational safety, Industrial Hygiene or related Technical Field preferred. SSHO shall have worked on similar projects (size, scope, complexity), possess a 10-hour OSHA construction safety class or equivalent within last 3 years and have competent person training as required.
