We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting occupational therapists in providing specialized rehabilitation services to our patients within the familiar and supportive environment of their homes. You will assist in implementing personalized treatment plans and therapeutic activities to promote independence, improve daily functioning, and enhance overall well-being. This is a PRN position NOT full-time, meaning you will be working with us on an as-needed basis. You will be hired as a W2 employee, not as an independent contractor. Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques, safety strategies, and the use of assistive equipment to promote independent living. Monitor and document patients' progress, reporting any changes to the supervising occupational therapist. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure a positive and supportive therapeutic environment.
Qualifications:
Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Prior experience in home health is preferred, but not required. Strong clinical and observational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using technology and electronic documentation systems.
