Job Summary We are seeking motivated and experienced Grade Checkers and Dirt Moving Operators to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for precise grading, excavation, and dirt moving tasks that are essential to the successful completion of construction projects. Your expertise in operating heavy machinery, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety regulations will ensure that projects progress efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Operate heavy construction machinery such as excavators, Dozers, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks with precision and safety compliance. Perform grading tasks according to project specifications, ensuring accurate elevation and alignment for foundations, roads, or utilities. Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on all equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure operational safety. Assist with excavation activities, utility locating, and installation of underground utilities in accordance with construction plans. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times to maintain a secure work environment. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to coordinate dirt moving operations efficiently. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and site progress reports. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks in a construction environment. Strong knowledge of construction grading techniques and utility installation processes. Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including OSHA standards and federal safety protocols. Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Prior experience in utility locating and utility work on large-scale projects is preferred. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving is a plus. Construction site experience demonstrating the ability to work efficiently in various environmental conditions while adhering to safety standards.
