Safety Specialist (Bilingual Mandarin Preferred)
Job Description
Overview FBD Logistics, a rapidly expanding 3PL company specializing in dangerous goods, is seeking a dedicated Safety Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our warehouse operations are safe, compliant with safety regulations, and uphold the highest standards of workplace safety. As a Safety Specialist, you will play a key role in fostering a safety-first culture, protecting employees, and maintaining compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety standards. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures aligned with OSHA regulations and industry best practices. Conduct regular safety inspections of warehouse facilities to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Provide training and education to employees on workplace safety protocols, proper handling of dangerous goods, and emergency procedures. Investigate workplace incidents or accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with management and staff to promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization. Keep up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and ensure ongoing compliance across all warehouse operations. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and corrective actions taken. Serve as a point of contact for safety-related inquiries and support management during OSHA audits or inspections. Skills OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 certification (preferred). 3+ years of warehouse safety experience or equivalent education. Large-facility experience preferred.
Bilingual:
English and Mandarin (preferred). Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards applicable to warehousing and logistics environments. Experience in developing and implementing safety programs within a warehouse or logistics setting. Excellent communication skills for delivering training sessions and promoting safety awareness among diverse teams. Ability to identify hazards proactively and implement effective corrective measures. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate safety documentation. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to respond effectively during emergency situations. Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety practices.
