Degree:

Bachelor's or gradue (or higher level) degree in industrial hygiene, occupional health sciences, occupional and environmental health, toxicology, safety sciences, or reled science. The educion must be accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Educion the time the degree was obtained. Degree must be completed by May 2026.

OR Reled Degree:

Bachelor's degree in a branch of engineering, physical science, or life science th included 12 semester hours in chemistry, including organic chemistry, and 18 additional semester hours of courses in any combinion of chemistry, physics, engineering, health physics, environmental health, biostistics, biology, physiology, toxicology, epidemiology, or industrial hygiene. The educion must be accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Educion the time the degree was obtained. For engineering degrees to be acceptable, the curriculum must be in a school of engineering with least one curriculum accredited by the Accredition Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum. One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in conducting industrial hygiene and safety surveys; or, assisting in presenting industrial hygiene sample da; or, assisting in analyzing effects of health exposures; or, assisting in maintaining industrial hygiene equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

OR Educion:

One full year of gradue level educion (or will have completed one full year by May 2026) in a field which demonstres the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: industrial hygiene, engineering, physical science, or life science. OR Superior Academic Achievement. Successful completion (or completion by May 2026) of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum th is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as th identified in Educion above.
