We specialize in a wide range of services including skilled nursing, physical therapy, and non-skilled home health aide care, ensuring exceptional healthcare delivery to our diverse community. Summary As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Health Care of South Florida, you will provide therapy services on a per diem basis. This role supports Occupational Therapists in helping patients regain independence and improve daily functioning in home and assisted living settings. Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services in home and ALF settings under the supervision of an OT. Assist in implementing individualized care plans based on patient needs and goals. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities of daily living (ADLs). Promote patient independence and safety during all interactions. Monitor and report patient progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and agency standards. Qualifications Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Florida. Previous home health experience (Required). Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus. Experience with Kinnser is a plus. Current CPR certification (Required) Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
