Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented General Industry/Construction Safety Specialist to champion safety excellence across our drilling projects. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your proactive approach will foster a culture of safety, protect our teams, and uphold our reputation for operational excellence. Duties
  • Lead safety inspections and audits on Drilling rig sites to identify hazards and enforce safety protocols aligned with
OSHA, ANSI
standards, NFPA standards, and local regulations.
  • Develop and deliver engaging safety training sessions covering drilling rig workplace safety, electrical safety procedures, occupational health practices, and emergency response procedures such as first aid and CPR.
  • Manage risk assessments related to construction activities, including risk management strategies for site-specific hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements including
OSHA, NEC
(National Electrical Code), Workers' Compensation policies, and other applicable standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team leaders to integrate safety management into daily operations and construction management processes.
  • Maintain detailed records of safety incidents, inspections, training sessions, and compliance documentation using construction management software.
  • Lead investigations into accidents or near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Skills
  • Strong knowledge of general industry safety regulations, ANSI standards, NFPA standards, OSHA requirements, and occupational health best practices.
  • Proven experience in general industry/construction safety management with a focus on electrical safety procedures and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) programs.
  • Excellent risk management skills with the ability to evaluate hazards and develop mitigation strategies effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership in team environments with the ability to train staff on safety protocols and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite along with construction management software for compliance tracking and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills to clearly convey safety expectations and facilitate collaboration among diverse teams.
  • Ability to perform detailed site inspections, audits, and incident investigations confidently.
