EHS Trainer & Coordinator Job Type:
Full-Time Industry:
Industrial / Construction / Manufacturing Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Trainer & Coordinator to support safety, environmental compliance, and employee training across industrial and construction operations. The EHS Trainer & Coordinator will conduct safety training, support jobsite and facility inspections, assist with incident investigations, maintain required documentation, and help ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and applicable environmental regulations . The ideal candidate is a hands-on safety professional who is comfortable working directly with employees, supervisors, contractors, and management in both field and facility environments. Key Responsibilities Conduct new-hire safety orientation and ongoing EHS training. Develop and deliver training on OSHA requirements, PPE, hazard communication, fall protection, lockout/tagout, confined space, and other applicable safety topics. Conduct routine jobsite and facility safety inspections and audits. Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and assist operations teams with corrective actions. Support compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local EHS requirements. Assist with incident, injury, near-miss, and property-damage investigations. Maintain accurate safety training records, certifications, inspection reports, and compliance documentation. Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and refresher training. Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs/JSAs) and site-specific safety plans. Monitor proper use of PPE and compliance with established safety procedures. Coordinate required employee safety certifications and training schedules. Support environmental compliance activities, including waste handling, spill prevention, and environmental documentation. Work closely with Operations, Human Resources, supervisors, and management to promote a strong safety culture. Track safety observations, corrective actions, and EHS performance metrics. Assist with emergency response planning and drills. Qualifications 3+ years of EHS, safety, or occupational health experience preferred. Experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, heavy civil, chemical, mining, or similar environments preferred. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements. Experience conducting employee safety training and orientations. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work effectively with field personnel, supervisors, and management. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management/reporting systems. Ability to travel between jobsites or facilities as required. Preferred Certifications OSHA 30 First Aid/CPR/AED
HAZWOPER
Confined Space Fall Protection Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Train-the-Trainer certifications CHST, ASP, CSP, or similar safety credentials are a plus. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
