A Safety Coordinator coordinates workplace safety programs. Completes inspections of workplace property and equipment, supervises activities and coordinates safety training for employees. Investigates workplace accidents and manages accident reports. Monitors compliance with safety regulations.
Develop, implement, and maintain plant-wide EHS policies, procedures, and safety programs. Conduct safety audits, monitor safety performance, and implement preventive and corrective actions. Lead risk reduction initiatives to identify, mitigate, and eliminate workplace hazards. Ensure plant-wide compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Lead accident, injury, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. Manage emergency preparedness procedures and First Responder Team readiness. Provide first aid when necessary and coordinate medical transportation for injured employees. Track and report safety metrics to site leadership, corporate stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. Partner with HR on new-hire safety onboarding and workers' compensation processes. Coordinate external safety training vendors and technical equipment evaluations. Manage safety supplies, medical equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Promote continuous safety improvement and a proactive safety culture across manufacturing operations. ■
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a related technical field preferred. 10+ years of progressive EHS management experience in a manufacturing environment. OSHA 10-Hour and OSHA 30-Hour certifications preferred. First Aid/CPR/AED certification required. Strong leadership and team management skills. Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ■

General Responsibilities :
Implement and maintain company safety policies and procedures to ensure OSHA compliance. Maintain
OSHA 300
logs, incident records, and required regulatory reports. Develop and maintain Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for site jobs and facilities. Conduct routine workplace inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Inspect safety devices, emergency exit lighting, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment. Conduct new-hire safety onboarding and ongoing employee safety training. Facilitate monthly safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Safety Committee activities. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and recommend corrective actions. Support hazardous material and waste management processes as needed. Perform other safety-related duties as assigned by Safety Department management. ■
Qualifications :
2+ years of experience in accident prevention, workplace safety, or site safety inspections. Associate degree or higher from an accredited college or technical school, or equivalent professional experience. Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification or Occupational Nursing degree required. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety practices, and incident reporting. Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work in outdoor and high-noise manufacturing or construction environments. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout site facilities. Flexibility to accommodate changing shifts and operational requirements.
