10/08/2026 Job Description Job Description The Environmental Health Safety Specialist plays a critical role within the Internal Team, reporting directly to the General Manager. This position involves both developing new safety initiatives and maintaining existing programs to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a safe workplace. Frequent travel to multiple sites is required to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training, supporting the organization's commitment to environmental health and safety standards. Responsibilities Conduct risk assessments to identify potential safety and environmental hazards Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions Deliver safety training programs to employees across multiple sites Perform environmental monitoring and prepare detailed reports Coordinate internal and external safety audits Identify hazards and recommend mitigation strategies Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental health and safety Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field Experience with environmental compliance and risk assessment Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulatory standards Proven ability to deliver effective safety training Excellent communication and problem-solving skills High attention to detail Company Description Ship repair, industrial repairs, commercial welding, steel erection Company Description Ship repair, industrial repairs, commercial welding, steel erection
