What We Need:
We are looking for a Safety Technician to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings
  • Operations team at our Iowa City Distribution location.
What You Will Do:
Safety Compliance
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, including OSHA guidelines. Conduct facility risk assessments and engage members on equipment safety. Training and Development
  • Collaborate with leadership to deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels. Identify and address safety concerns to create improvements. Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute ideas for improving safety processes and procedures. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in safety management. Incident Investigation
  • Participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and implement preventative measures. Document findings and recommendations for corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Safety Culture Promotion
  • Actively promote a culture of safety throughout the organization by organizing safety awareness campaigns, recognition programs, and other initiatives to engage employees in safety-related activities. Data Management
  • Maintain accurate records of safety training sessions, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
Analyze safety data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
What You Have:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred and2 or more years of experience in manufacturing role. HNI Corporation (
