- This is an Exempt position.
Job Summary:
- This position supports the development, implementation, execution, and performance of the Quality Systems to ensure products meet the quality and food safety standards.
Essential Job Functions:
- + Assists in the implementation and maintenance of the pilot plant food safety, quality management, and document control + Serve as an active member of Food Safety teams + Provides support and guidance for day-to-day decision-making regarding quality/food safety impacts on products + Required to be flexible, providing quality and food safety support across projects and teams + Supports training activities regarding quality and food safety + Owns GMP and ensures cleaning and hygiene programs are carried out + Conducts pre-operation inspection of equipment that has undergone maintenance and/or sanitation + Assists with compliance and regulatory audits.
Job Qualifications:
- + Preferred 4 year degree or equivalent Food Safety experience + Recommended PCQI trained + Working knowledge of document management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other data bases. + Knowledge of applicable food regulations and requirements (FDA, GMPs, USDA, HACCP). + Ability to make decisions based on information and data available. + Ability to work as a team member and provide training.
