2nd/3rd shift split (Monday-Wednesday:
2:00 PM - 10:30 PM;Thursday-Friday:
6:00 PM - 2:30 AM; weekends as needed)Employment Type:
Full-Time Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company, is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support safety initiatives within a fast-paced production environment. What You'll Do Support daily Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) operations throughout the manufacturing facility. Conduct safety inspections, audits, and observations on the production floor. Identify workplace hazards and assist in implementing corrective and preventative actions. Participate in incident investigations, documentation, and root cause analysis. Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance documentation. Promote safe work practices and reinforce company safety policies. Assist with new employee orientation and safety training programs. Monitor proper PPE usage and ensure compliance with safety requirements. Partner with production and leadership teams to foster a strong safety culture. Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support environmental compliance programs and regulatory requirements. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred. 0-2 years of experience in safety, manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environments. Strong desire to learn and develop a career in Environmental, Health & Safety. Basic understanding of OSHA regulations is preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Internship or coursework related to Environmental, Health & Safety. Experience working in automotive or industrial manufacturing environments. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
