We're seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to lead safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a strong culture of safety within our manufacturing operations. This role plays a key part in protecting employees, supporting operational excellence, and driving continuous improvement across the facility. What You'll Do As the EHS Specialist, you'll serve as the site's subject matter expert for environmental, health, and safety programs while partnering closely with operations and leadership teams.
Responsibilities include:
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Operate, monitor, and maintain high- and low-pressure boilers supporting manufacturing and facility operations. Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses to identify and mitigate workplace hazards. Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective actions. Deliver engaging safety training programs for employees across the organization. Monitor workplace conditions and ensure proper PPE compliance. Maintain accurate environmental and safety documentation and regulatory records. Partner with production, engineering, and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Support emergency preparedness, drills, and response planning. Track, analyze, and report key EHS performance metrics. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 6+ years EHS experience within manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and EHS regulatory requirements. Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to influence safety culture and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization. Preferred Qualifications CSP, CIH, CHMM, or similar professional certification. Manufacturing or industrial environment experience. Knowledge of ISO 14001 and/or
ISO 45001.
