This position works closely with project managers, superintendents, and field employees to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and client safety requirements. The Construction Safety Specialist plays a key role in preventing workplace injuries by identifying hazards, providing safety training, conducting inspections, and fostering a proactive safety culture. Key Responsibilities

• Implement and support company safety programs across multiple construction projects.
• Conduct routine jobsite inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and client safety requirements.
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and verify compliance with established safety standards.
• Review Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and permit-required work.
• Lead incident, injury, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
• Track corrective actions to ensure timely resolution of identified safety concerns.
• Analyze leading and lagging safety indicators to identify trends and recommend continuous improvements.
• Partner with project managers and superintendents to proactively address safety concerns.
• Maintain authority to stop work when imminent hazards or unsafe conditions are observed.
• Promote employee participation in hazard recognition and near-miss reporting initiatives.
• Maintain accurate safety records and assist with OSHA inspections, client audits, and regulatory reporting.
• Stay current on OSHA regulations and industry best practices to continuously improve company safety performance. Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience, preferably in commercial, heavy civil, or concrete construction.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards (29 CFR 1926).
• Experience conducting jobsite inspections, safety audits, and incident investigations.
• Experience working with subcontractors and enforcing safety compliance.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification required.
• OSHA 510, CHST, CSP, or other professional safety certifications preferred.
• Excellent communication, coaching, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to multiple jobsites.
