Build Your Future with Hussey Copper Hussey Copper is seeking an HSE Specialist to drive a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement within the Eminence, KY. manufacturing facilities. This position has functional authority throughout the plant for all health and safety matters. A successful candidate will help to lead the facilities to greater sustainability that is safety focused and environmentally responsible. What You'll Do Initiate and lead Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA). Report and investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe practices with a continuous improvement mindset. Develop, analyze and implement corrective and preventive actions. Develop and deliver HSE induction programs and train staff on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and environmental topics. Communicate effectively across multi-level teams, from operators to management. Implement all safety and health policies and procedures in designated areas. Complete weekly safety audits of assigned mill and work with the Operations Manager to ensure employee safety and regulatory compliance. Assure that all permits are obtained and issued in the area of responsibility. What You Bring A commitment to workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and regulatory compliance. 1-3 years of working experience. Very strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in all Microsoft applications. Ability to be decisive and apply sound and reasonable judgement under pressure. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with proven ability to prioritize tasks Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in industrial safety management. Experience in metals or materials manufacturing. Work Environment and Physical Requirements This onsite role combines office-based engineering work with hands-on support in an active industrial manufacturing environment. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, varying temperatures, loud noise, and heavy production activity. The position requires walking, sitting, using hands, communicating with others, and occasionally standing, reaching, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
