Job Summary We're looking for an entry-level Safety Technician who's just as comfortable in the shop as they are behind a computer. Working under the direction of the Safety Manager, you'll split your time between the shop floor and the office, conducting inspections, helping facilitate safety meetings, participating in incident investigations, maintaining safety records, and working alongside our crews to keep the workplace safe. You'll be around electric motors, rigging, tools, and active repair work every day.

Key Responsibilities Implement and maintain safety practices across shop and field operations. Conduct routine inspections, including shop audits and rigging inspections. Identify hazards and work with operations to correct unsafe conditions. Participate in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, including root cause analysis. Help facilitate weekly safety meetings and training sessions. Track and maintain safety training and contractor compliance requirements. Support injury reporting and assist with Workers' Compensation processes. Support emergency preparedness efforts, including drills and safety plans. Work with Facilities to maintain safe equipment, tooling, and PPE. Support hazardous waste handling and proper storage practices. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Experience working around rigging, lifting operations, or heavy equipment in an industrial repair shop environment required. Experience with contractor compliance systems such as ISNetworld, Veriforce, or Avetta is preferred. Familiarity with inspections of slings, rigging, or lifting equipment is a plus. Working knowledge of safety practices, inspections, and incident reporting. Ability to lead safety meetings and communicate effectively with crews. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Ability to work independently while staying engaged with operations and supervision.
