This role is vital in empowering healthcare professionals, caregivers, and clinical staff with the latest knowledge, skills, and best practices to deliver compassionate, effective, and compliant care to individuals living with dementia. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for adult education, extensive clinical expertise, and a commitment to elevating standards in dementia care through comprehensive training initiatives. Duties Develop, implement, and deliver comprehensive training modules on Alzheimer's disease and dementia care tailored for diverse clinical settings including nursing homes, hospitals, home care agencies, and teaching hospitals. Conduct hands-on training sessions emphasizing patient-centered approaches, communication strategies, behavioral management techniques, and safety protocols aligned with health regulation policies. Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback collection, and continuous improvement strategies to ensure high-quality educational experiences. Stay current with evolving state healthcare regulations, HIPAA compliance standards, and medical documentation requirements related to dementia care. Collaborate with clinical leadership to identify staff training needs and customize educational programs that enhance team leadership skills and clinical instruction capabilities. Serve as a subject matter expert on physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and adult learning principles to facilitate engaging and informative training sessions. Maintain detailed records of training activities, participant progress, certifications awarded, and compliance documentation in accordance with medical records management standards. Experience Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or acute care settings with a strong background in nursing or allied health professions. Extensive nursing home experience coupled with familiarity in hospital or teaching hospital environments that involve direct patient care and clinical staff training. Demonstrated expertise in pediatric or adult home care settings with a focus on patient safety and family education. Prior leadership roles involving team supervision, precepting new staff members, or coordinating clinical instruction programs. Knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA and state healthcare regulations governing medical documentation and patient records. Strong background in medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and the delivery of adult education through various teaching modalities. Experience in developing training content related to medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare policy updates within clinical settings.
