Job Description
Environmental Health & Safety Specialist
Position SummaryMAG Aerospace is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to support workplace safety, environmental compliance, and risk-management activities for C5ISR Center operations. This position will assist with risk assessments, audits, inspections, emergency planning, incident documentation, employee training, and the development of safety procedures. The specialist will also support wastewater and hazardous-material management programs while ensuring compliance with applicable policies, regulations, certifications, and licensing requirements for the handling, transportation, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Industrial Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field, plus at least two years of relevant experience. An active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI access is required.

- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting with Risk Assessments, identifying potential hazards and risks associated with operations
- Assisting with conducting regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with C5ISR Center policy and regulation
- Assisting with developing and testing emergency plans
- Assisting with developing and implementing effective waste management SOPs, to include Waste Water management and Hazardous Material management
- Assisting with Safety Procedures and training plans development
- Assisting with reporting and documenting incidents, training and inspections
- Ensuring compliance of SOPs/Certifications/Licensing requirements pertaining to handling, disposal and transport of Hazardous Materials Requirements
- 2 years of professional experience supporting environmental health and safety, occupational safety, hazardous-material management, or environmental compliance.
- Experience conducting or supporting risk assessments, workplace inspections, compliance audits, incident reporting, and corrective-action tracking.
- Working knowledge of applicable OSHA and environmental requirements, including hazardous-material handling, waste management, transportation, and disposal.
- Ability to develop safety procedures, training materials, inspection records, and other compliance documentation.
- Strong written communication, organization, and attention to detail. Education
