Location:
DC Metro Area | 🏗️ Construction / AEC Industry 💵 Hourly rate: $20•$25 (DOE) | 🕒 Full‑Time Are you passionate about turning construction sites into intelligent digital environments? We're looking for a Reality Capture Specialist who's ready to push the boundaries of 3D scanning and digital twin creation for the built world. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy professional who thrives in the fast-paced AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry and has hands-on experience using laser scanning to support construction workflows, BIM coordination, and site documentation. What You'll Be Doing You'll be the boots on the ground and the expert behind the screen—capturing, processing, and delivering high-resolution spatial data that powers smarter, safer construction decisions.
Core Responsibilities:
Perform 3D laser scanning on active construction sites and in the office using advanced tools and workflows Post-process scan data to create usable deliverables such as point clouds, floor plans, and BIM models Train and support clients on platforms like CloudWorx, Recap, Reality Cloud Studio, AutoCAD, Register 360, and Revit Generate professional project reports and maintain detailed documentation Manage and maintain scanning equipment inventory and conduct regular equipment maintenance Inspect scan results and final outputs to ensure they meet construction-grade quality standards Prioritize and log jobs according to project schedules, site constraints, and deliverable deadlines What We're Looking For You're a detail-driven professional who understands construction workflows and how reality capture supports coordination, quality assurance, and stakeholder communication.
Key Qualifications:
Proven experience in 3D scanning for construction, surveying, or engineering Proficiency and/or certification in: CloudWorx Recap Reality Cloud Studio AutoCAD Register 360 Revit Excellent communication and client-facing skills Strong organization, planning, and project tracking ability Able to work independently on job sites and adapt to dynamic construction environments Why Join Us?
