- $31.75 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description The purpose of this job is to promote public health by conducting inspections to monitor and enforce state and local ordinances for various establishments and facilities; provides education of environmental public health laws and ordinances. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Science, Environmental Science, Biology or related field with a minimum of 30 credit hours in science-related courses.
Knowledge of:
Relevant laws and regulations pertaining to state and local public health codes and ordinances. Principles of epidemiology, microbiology, and general laboratory practices relating to the standard testing and analysis of food products and environmental hazards. Common business software applications such as Microsoft Office. Basic business English usage, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.Skill in:
Communicating verbally and in writing to meet the needs of the audience. Applying active listening and asking questions for understanding. Compile, organize, interpret, and communicate data and results concisely.Ability to:
Handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure and maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Prioritize and manage time effectively. Exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions. Create and conduct presentations and training sessions. Regularly use a computer, software, phone and related office equipment. To work on-call and respond to emergencies and events outside of normal operating hours. Focus on tasks.
