FMCSA DOT
Safety Compliance Specialist, where your expertise will drive safety excellence across our transportation and logistics operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure adherence to federal regulations, manage compliance programs, and promote a culture of safety and risk mitigation. Your proactive approach will help safeguard our fleet, streamline regulatory reporting, and uphold the highest standards in transportation management. Duties Develop, implement, and monitor FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) safety policies to ensure full compliance with federal regulations. Conduct regular audits of fleet operations, driver logs, and safety records to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards. Manage regulatory reporting requirements, including accident reports, inspection documentation, and safety performance metrics. Provide training sessions for drivers and staff on compliance protocols, safety procedures, and risk management practices. Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize transportation management strategies while maintaining strict safety standards. Review freight documentation and ensure compliance with FDA regulations related to transportation of sensitive or regulated goods. Lead investigations into safety incidents or violations, documenting findings through detailed report writing and recommending corrective actions. Skills Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, OSHA standards, and FDA transportation guidelines. Experience in logistics, supply chain management, and transportation management systems. Skilled in regulatory reporting, risk assessment, and compliance management processes. Excellent report writing abilities with attention to detail for documenting safety audits and incident investigations. Proficiency in fleet management tools and transportation tracking software. Effective communication skills for training teams and collaborating across departments. Ability to analyze complex data sets related to freight safety performance and develop actionable insights.
