Full Job Description Responsibilities:
HazTek is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional to provide full-time safety oversight for a large-scale construction project in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The project includes earthwork, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other major construction activities. Responsibilities Provide safety oversight throughout all phases of construction Monitor work activities for compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements Conduct site inspections and identify unsafe conditions or work practices Review job hazard analyses, safety plans, and high-risk work activities Lead safety meetings and communicate expectations to contractors and project personnel Document safety observations, corrective actions, incidents, and daily activities Collaborate with project leadership and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture Support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are completed Maintain a consistent field presence across multiple active construction operationsQualifications:
Minimum of five years of experience working as a safety professional OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification Completion of 24-HourHAZWOPER
training Current Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards Experience supporting large, multi-trade construction projects Strong communication, documentation, and hazard-recognition skills Ability to work approximately 40-48 hours per week on the day shiftOverview:
