When a customer gets an inspection report full of deficiencies, they don't always know what they're looking at or how worried they should be. That's where you come in. As a Service Sales Specialist at Encore, you're the person who turns a stack of technical findings into a clear plan of action. You quote the work, explain the stakes, and guide customers from confusion to confidence. You move fast, you follow through, and you make the whole process feel easy for people who are counting on you.Key Responsibilities:
Quote Deficiency Work Review completed inspection reports and identify all deficiencies noted by technicians or inspectors Generate accurate quotes for repairs, replacements, adds, moves, and changes (MAC) across fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression systems Prioritize and clearly communicate deficiency urgency levels from AHJ-required immediate corrective action to preventive or code-advisory items Work within established pricing tools, templates, and approval thresholds to turn quotes around quickly using our Service Delivery Platform, Service Trade. Customer Communication Contact customers promptly after inspections to walk them through findings and recommendations Translate technical deficiency language into plain terms customers can understand and act on Field questions about compliance timelines, system consequences, and repair options without creating unnecessary alarm- or unnecessary delay Follow up persistently on open quotes and outstanding approvals using a defined cadence Maintain a professional, consultative tone across all customer interactions Pipeline & Process Management Manage an active pipeline of open deficiency quotes at various stages of follow-up Trach all activity in the CRM/quoting system and keep records current at all times Meet or exceed activity and conversion targets for quote volume, response time, and close rate Escalate high-priority or time-sensitive compliance situations appropriately and quickly What You Bring to the
Table:
2+ years in inside sales, estimating, or customer service- ideally in a trade, service, or technical environment Comfort reading inspection reports, service documents, or technical work orders and knowing what questions to ask Strong verbal communication skills
- you can explain a complicated problem clearly and confidently to someone with no technical background Highly organized with the ability to juggle a high volume of open quotes, follow-ups, and deadlines without things slipping Persistence, resilience, and a genuine ease with direct, honest conversations
- especially when a customer needs to make a decision Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the mindset to learn new tools quickly Willingness to self-teach platforms like HubSpot and ServiceTrade as needed A people-first approach — you build trust with customers and internal teams by being prepared, reliable, and easy to work with What Will Make You Stand Out You have experience in life safety, fire protection, or another building services or route-based service business.
