Safety Specialist:
Promote a proactive, behavior-based safety culture throughout the company. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's safety program. Ensure compliance with all policies and safety requirements, including proper housekeeping. Provide ongoing training in areas such as hazard recognition, fall protection, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, PPE, etc. Conduct new hire safety orientations. Monitor on site contractor safety compliance and ensure proper insurance coverage. Perform regular inspections of all work centers to maintain a safe work environment. Complete incident reports and conduct investigations for near misses and incidents that involve an injury. Ensure ongoing monitoring of common exposures, including, but not limited to noise, dust, and silica. Respond to injury and property damage incidents, providing first aid and/or initiating our Emergency Action Plan. Work with the Forming and Precast Teams to plan safe means and methods for high-risk activities such as scaffolding, formwork, heavy lifting and concrete operations.
What We're Looking For:
Five or more years of experience as a safety professional In depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, MSHA experience preferred Certification and/or training in CPR/AED Exceptional communication and leadership skills High level of self-motivation and a passion for continuous improvement Capable of working effectively with others to promote our safety culture Exceptional professional ethics and integrity
